Wabaskang Lake - Mama Goldeneye

I spent three and a half months staying at Sleepy Dog Cabins on Wabaskang Lake in northwestern Ontario.<br><br>One day, I was sitting down at the dock and a mama goldeneye was hanging out nearby with her brood. Suddenly, a seagull swooped down and tried to grab one of the youngsters. Mama sounded the alarm and they all dove under water. Mama then exploded out of the water and chased the seagull away. The seagull came back another time and she chased it away again. Then their were two of the youngsters she couldn't find right away and she started swimming around and calling them. Finally they appeaed from under the dock. After all the excitement, they went under the dock for a nap.
